Does a Registered Agent read/see my personal mail?

Registered agents are used for Services of Process, which are legal notifications. They accept on behalf of the client, they are private to the registered agent and client only. When accepting legal notifications, the registered agent must read the information to find who it belongs to.

Can I act as my own Registered Agent?

Yes. The client must remember that they can act as their own agent, however, they need to know that the information filed with the State is “public” and that if it is a personal location, it will then become public.
